Remote. Untouched. Unforgiving.
The route is at the core of Gravel North.
Spanning remote regions of the Scottish Highlands, each stage has been designed to showcase the scale, beauty and challenge of this landscape.
Working in partnership with Highland estates, the route combines private access with remote public tracks to create something truly unique.
The route is designed to be as rideable as possible on as smooth gravel as the landscape allows. It is not meant to be a pure test of rider skill although that will play into things as the Highlands are as varied as they are remote.
Expect long climbs, fast descents and ever-changing, rugged conditions
There will be road sections, there will be some short (less than a kilometer) hiking sections, there will be technical terrain requiring skill, there will be something to challenge everyone.
There will also be the best gravel to experience in the world… in our opinion, and all set in the most stunning of backdrops. Past castles, forests, mountains, lochs – it has it all!
Wind. Weather. Terrain.
This is not standard gravel.
No two stages feel the same.
And no part of it comes easy.
